Noël 2012 Part I

Hello dear readers!

Last week I finally had the time to make some pictures of my Christmas decorations.

As you may know, Christmas is my favorite time of the year.
But are there people that don't like Christmas?!

I love turning my house in a cozy, winter home with beautiful decorations and wreaths. And seeing snow outside my window makes me smile big time.

It's my second Christmas in my own house and I've gathered lots of new Christmas decorations.
Last year I used lots of bright colors, this year I chose white and antique silver. They both have their own charm. Although white and silver fit better into my interior.

I love pine wreaths... They give an instant Christmas feeling.

This year I had to buy all new decorations, I didn't mind at all ;)

How cute is that birdie?! I already bought one last year,
luckily I've found another one.
And the lace heart is so pretty, don't you think?

An adorable white angel..

My little Christmas corner in my living room.

My own "Rudolph" <3

Ssttt.. This wreath is hanging there since last Christmas, without the lights it fits perfectly into my home.. In 2013 I will search for a new wreath!

My new favorites for Christmas, mercury glass ornaments...
I love their old, vintage look.

There are some more pictures to come, but I think you'll have a good image of my Christmas home 2012.

Have a wonderful week!

Love,

Nadine

A white oldie

Last week I bought this lovely, old kitchen scale. Isn't it pretty?

The white and black combine perfect and it's realy a work of art.. I looked this scale up and these were made around 1900-1920 in Germany.

It was so hard finding a white kitchen scale, but I'm soooo glad I've found one!

Have a great Sunday!

Autumn corner and doily lights

How do I love Autumn....
Last week I've made a little Autumn corner on my living room table. I'm still in love with baby boo pumpkins and my tiny cloche....

On Pinterest I saw this lovely idea of lace doilies around a votive candle glass. It looked so pretty and easy to make. Last thuesday my sister and I made them at home. Don't they look cute?

I decorated little glasses (the onces used for Ikea candles) and my sister a big and little glass.

Have a wonderful sunday everybody!

Lovely pumpkins

I just LOVE white pumpkins, they are so cute and match perfectly in a white home.

My mom and I visited a Pumpkin Parade yesterday (pictures in the next topic!) and they had so many pumpkins, it was hard for us to decide which ones to take home.. Luckily they had many white pumpkins <3 The tiny Baby Boo is my favorite, a cute little ivory pumpkin.

May I introduce to you, my lovely, white pumpkins:

My first pillowframe..

I saw pillowframes for the first time at 24Homes and they looked so cute and easy to make.

Finally I've made my own pillowframe holding a picture from Paris, which I visited with a dear friend in august.

I used a beige colored fabric and some Paris stamps as it would be used for my Paris pictures. I used leftovers from my curtains for the large piece of lace. The ribbon was bought at Het witte luik,  the pearl pins as well.

This absolutely will not be the last pillowframe I've made. Can't wait to make a second one..

Have you ever made a pillowframe?

Be sure to watch the lovely tutorial by 24Homes: Tutorial.

Have a great evening and sunday!

Scrapbook

I've been walking around with this idea for quite some time.

For years, I've been collecting pictures of pretty ideas to decorate my future home. A scrapbook is the best way to keep them in one place. At the time I bought a Pip Studio scrapbook, in dark pink with flowers.

But it isn't white... So I decided to change it. The paper I used to cover it up, is a gorgeous, but see through gift paper from Jeanne d'Arc Living. So the book had to be covered up, so I wouldn't see the pink anymore.

Before it's completed, I finished it off with off white lace, a pastel pink ribbon (Thanks to H&M clothing ;).), a doily, a tiny clock image with buttons and a small birdcage.

Almost finished, but there was something missing in the middle...
...so I glued tiny buttons on the clock.

Have a great weekend!

Lace is the answer...

Here is a small sneak peek of one of my sunday projects.

I'm turning my old scrapbook into a pretty white scrapbook to hold all my decoration inspiration.

It just needs a tiny bit of finishing touch...

Have a great sunday evening!

Shabby chic with lace

A few weeks ago I bought a book about the Shabby Chic home.
Besides beautiful pictures, they showed some decoration ideas, such as this one.

Lace glued on a glass jar. How simple, but what a gorgeous result..

Have a great week!

Table runner in French style

A while ago I bought this table runner and matching placemats.
I just love the white cotton combined with the lace on the sides.

I also discovered the site of the Graphics Fairy and was looking forward to use one of her gorgeous French graphics. At Highschool I wasn't good in French, but I always loved the sound of the language, the writing, Paris, Chanel, the "old time" feeling I get...

The table runner was perfect for this transfering job.
So I bought transfer sheets and searched for a pretty, french graphic to decorate the runner.
First, I printed the graphic in reverse, then I cut it out and at last, I ironed it on the runner. Done :)

This is the result and I'm very pleased with it.

After the runner, I also decorated a placemat (one of the..).
