Scrapbook

I've been walking around with this idea for quite some time.

For years, I've been collecting pictures of pretty ideas to decorate my future home. A scrapbook is the best way to keep them in one place. At the time I bought a Pip Studio scrapbook, in dark pink with flowers.

But it isn't white... So I decided to change it. The paper I used to cover it up, is a gorgeous, but see through gift paper from Jeanne d'Arc Living. So the book had to be covered up, so I wouldn't see the pink anymore. 

Before it's completed, I finished it off with off white lace, a pastel pink ribbon (Thanks to H&M clothing ;).), a doily, a tiny clock image with buttons and a small birdcage.   

Almost finished, but there was something missing in the middle... 

...so I glued tiny buttons on the clock.

Here is a small sneak peek of one of my sunday projects.

I'm turning my old scrapbook into a pretty white scrapbook to hold all my decoration inspiration. 

It just needs a tiny bit of finishing touch...

Simple white and purple

Tonight I'm having a TupperWare Party at my house. 


I don't know if all of you know what it is? Here in the Netherlands and in Germany the parties are well known.


Next to tea and the food that will be made by the TupperWare hostess, I wanted to make a cake for my guests. I decided to make one in TupperWare style. 


A simple design in white with "TupperWare" in "TupperWare purple".
The top cake is vanilla with vanilla cream and the bottom cake is chocolate filled with chocolate fudge... 

Easter Brunch 2012

My parents, sister and her boyfriend came for a brunch at my house. I loved to decorate the table again. 
My mom brought the food and we had a very yummy brunch..

Shabby chic with lace

A few weeks ago I bought a book about the Shabby Chic home. 

Besides beautiful pictures, they showed some decoration ideas, such as this one. 

Lace glued on a glass jar. How simple, but what a gorgeous result..

My favorite things combined...

My second cake, made in 2012. I've made it for my girl friend Anouk. We celebrated her birthday today, with eating cake and shopping in Liège.. What do girls need more?? 
For this birthday present, I combined my favorite decorations; lace, bows and pearls with rose gold and peach... 
It's a carrot cake filled with vanilla cream. 
She was very happy with it and also loved the taste. So, I'm happy also :)

Spring time..

Inside, after 4 months, my home is turning into a real home.. Now, it's time for the outside...

Delicious carrot....

For a long time now, making carrot cake was on my to do list... The first time I ate it, I was at Starbucks, a long time ago. Then, I ate it again in Edinburgh, at Clarinda's Tea Room and I wondered why I haven't made this yet...

I will also make this for a wedding in june.. Combined with vanilla buttercream... Yumm!

So, here it is..

My new chest of drawers...

Here it is!

Last week I saw this wonderful chest of drawers in a antique furniture store I often visit. I never seen a chest like this before. It looked so pretty and was calling "Nadine, please, do take me home.."

Not sure where it would look good and if it would fit, I decided not buying the chest and first find a perfect spot. 
At home, I kinda regret, I didn't took the chest home..

But I found the perfect spot in my living room, next to the television. So, a few days later, I returned to the store, hoping the chest would still be there.. Thankfully, it wasn't taken by someone else..

I'm so happy, I can call it mine now..!

Table runner in French style

A while ago I bought this table runner and matching placemats.
I just love the white cotton combined with the lace on the sides.

I also discovered the site of the Graphics Fairy and was looking forward to use one of her gorgeous French graphics. At Highschool I wasn't good in French, but I always loved the sound of the language, the writing, Paris, Chanel, the "old time" feeling I get...

The table runner was perfect for this transfering job.
So I bought transfer sheets and searched for a pretty, french graphic to decorate the runner.
First, I printed the graphic in reverse, then I cut it out and at last, I ironed it on the runner. Done :)

This is the result and I'm very pleased with it.

After the runner, I also decorated a placemat (one of the..).

Weekend...

I just love these pastel coloured pink roses combined with white ones...

Sundays ~3~

Just wanted to show you a picture of my living room.
This morning I figured I haven't done that yet..

As I moved in, the wall on the right was completely black, the floor was the same and the walls were already white.

The walls are painted in "bloesemwit" (blossom white). It's such a lovely, warm white. I love chandeliers, so there had to be one in my living room. In a Dutch magazine I saw a women who had placed shelves above the couch, I thought that was a great idea to show small things, that I want to see every day.
The seats are the famous Ikea seats. Love them.. 

My living room is almost finished (of course there's always some decorating to do or change). One wall (not shown) is empty and I would like to hang some pictures frames om that wall.

Soon I will take more pictures of the room, also showing the other walls.
